Sun Valley, NV (July 8, 2024)
A major crash occurred in the evening of Sunday, July 7. Five cars were involved in the collision, including one that was found rolled onto its side.
The crash occurred at East Second Avenue and Sun Valley Boulevard. Footage shows debris scattered all over the street–the cleanup and investigation caused the road to be shut down until about 10:45 p.m.
Nevada State Police, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, and Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue responded to the scene. Reports say that an unknown number of people sustained moderate injuries in the crash. It’s also unclear how many total occupants were in each vehicle.
Nevada State Police also reported that they believe alcohol was involved in this crash, and one person is in custody for DUI. However, we don’t yet know how exactly this crash began.
