Van Nuys, CA (July 13, 2024) A 10-passenger transport van was involved in an accident that left at least 5 people with injuries in Van Nuys. Reports indicated that the collision occurred on West Sherman Way, not far from Katherine Avenue, just after 8:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12th.
The passenger van was traveling along the 14214 block of West Sherman Way on Friday morning as the early morning sun illuminated a brand new day. As the van approached Katherine Avenue, it collided with another vehicle, reports indicated. The collision left both vehicles with damage and also injured at least five people. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles in the roadway, damaged. They quickly checked to see if anyone was in need of medical care and found at least five people with significant injuries. Those five were taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, to receive medical attention for their injuries, according to reports.
Detectives at the scene took their time investigating and are determined to learn what happened on West Sherman Way in Van Nuys that morning. They are also set on figuring out who was at fault for this accident that left five people hospitalized. Following the investigation, crews cleaned up the scene. The vehicles were removed from the roadway and the debris was swept up so motorists could continue driving.
