Las Vegas, NV (July 13, 2024) A two-vehicle collision occurred on Saturday morning, July 13th, on the northbound Interstate 15 ramp to southbound US-95. The accident claimed the life of one person, officers reported. It all happened right around 5:30 a.m. in Las Vegas.
Early morning on Saturday, July 13th, in Las Vegas took a turn for commuters on the Interstate 15 ramp. The ramp led to the southbound US-95 Highway and was the location for a deadly accident that morning. A box truck and a passenger car were both on the ramp when, for reasons that are still unknown, the two vehicles collided. The collision not only severely damaged the two vehicles involved, but it also sent debris flying all over the roadway and onto multiple ramps, officers reported. The debris landed in so many places that it caused considerable traffic issues.
Officers with the Nevada State Police arrived at the scene and found the two badly damaged vehicles as well as the massive debris field and were forced to close several sections of roadway. Paramedics rushed to give medical aid to anyone in need, but sadly, found that the driver of the passenger vehicle had been killed in the collision. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene and called for a coroner.
Officers are working to determine if speed of impairment were factors in this deadly two-vehicle collision in Las Vegas. They have reported that the investigation is ongoing as they work to figure out what exactly happened, as well as who was to blame, according to reports. A tow truck was called to remove at least one of the vehicles from the roadway and it took crews hours to remove all of the debris from different ramps and roadways.
