Bakersfield, CA (July 22, 2024) A single-vehicle collision tragically ended in one fatality on Wednesday, July 17.
The accident took place on Copus Road in Bakersfield a little after 6 a.m. It’s unclear what caused the driver to lose control, but the vehicle went about 20 feet off the road and flipped over.
Reports stated that at least one person tragically died and was possibly still in the vehicle while four other passengers were able to exit. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Update (July 23): Rodrigo Macuixtle Calihua, 24, was reportedly ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
