Santa Clarita, CA (July 22, 2024) A collision between an SUV and a big rig occurred late Sunday, July 21.
California Highway Patrol was alerted to the crash at around 11:47 p.m. It took place at the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Highway 126.
It’s unclear how the crash began, but for some reason, the two vehicles collided. A man in a Jeep Cherokee became wedged underneath the big rig and had to be freed by firefighters.
The firefighters had to use a hydraulic tool to pry open the door, which was crushed. They were able to free the man, but he was injured. They rushed him to the hospital, but his current condition has not been made available.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
