Mesquite, NV (July 24, 2024) A motorcyclist was tragically killed in an accident last week. Shortly after 2:40 a.m. Nevada State Police officers were dispatched to the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 15 northeast of Las Vegas in Mesquite. Police reported that a woman on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading south in front of a 2020 Hyundai Sonata sedan. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Hyundai struck the motorcycle from behind. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her injuries. She was identified as 41-year-old Rebecca Lynn Taylor.
The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers investigating the accident. The driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
