Tracy, CA (July 25, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Tracy left one person with injuries on Tuesday morning, July 23rd. The accident happened just before 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of South Patterson Pass Road and Via Nicolo, officers reported.
A white Toyota Corolla sedan was driving through Tracy at it approached the intersection of South Patterson Pass Road and Via Nicola. At the same time, a gray Honda SUV was also approaching the same intersection. For reasons that are still unknown, the two vehicles collided, leaving them both damaged in the middle of the roadway. Debris was thrown all over the intersection like confetti and traffic began to back up near the intersection.
Police officers arrived and found the two damaged vehicles sitting in the middle of a debris field, blocking traffic. They quickly went to the cars to see if anyone was in need of medical attention. They found one person who had sustained injuries in the accident, but determined that the injuries were not life-threatening. The Stockton Fire Department arrived at the scene to assist the Highway Patrol. Paramedics transported the injured occupant to a local hospital to receive treatment.
Officers began walking the scene, gathering evidence and taking statements from those who witnessed it, as well as from those involved. They are determined to better understand what happened at this Tracy intersection. They are also working to figure out who was responsible for this collision. Officers requested a tow truck to come to the scene and remove both of the damaged vehicles from the intersection and crews worked to remove glass and debris from the roadway.
