San Diego, CA (July 31, 2024) A 42-year-old man on an electric skateboard was badly injured in a collision with a vehicle in Sherman Heights.
On Tuesday, July 30 at about 10:51 p.m., the skateboarder was heading eastbound in the south crosswalk of 25th Street and Market Street against a red light.
Meanwhile, a 64-year-old in a Subaru was in the northbound lane of 25th and heading through a green light when he struck the skateboarder.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the skateboarder with serious head injuries and rushed him to the hospital. His current condition is currently unknown.
Reports do not say whether or not the driver of the Subaru sustained any injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
