Las Vegas, NV (August 26, 2024) A pedestrian was killed early this morning at about 3:09 a.m.
The collision occurred as the male pedestrian was walking southbound on Paradise Road in the second southbound travel lane from the left, according to LVMPD. A 2010 Nissan Altima hit the victim and sent him flying onto the road.
The driver of the Nissan fled the scene, but detectives found him and placed him under arrest for hit-and-run. The motorist was uninjured.
When paramedics arrived, they tragically pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Update (August 29): The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Steven Stuwe-Perez.
