Motorcyclist Killed In Redding Collision On Churn Creek Rd.

Motorcyclist critically injured in Las Vegas crash.

Redding, CA (August 28, 2024) A motorcyclist tragically lost their life on Tuesday afternoon, August 27th, 2024, in Redding. The fatal accident occurred on Churn Creek Road, not far from Maraglia Street, officers reported. It happened just before 4:00 p.m. and also involved a truck.

It was a hot summer afternoon in Redding on August 27th, as a motorcyclist rode along Churn Creek Road. At the same time, a truck was pulling out of a driveway on the 2800 block of the road. The driver, 71-year-old Los Molinos resident, Darrell Mullins, pulled out of the driveway directly in front of the motorcycle. The rider had no time to avoid the truck and slammed into it. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and rolled to a stop on the ground.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist on the ground. They were prepared to give the rider medical aid, but the victim had sustained fatal injuries in the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.

Officers took a statement from the driver of the truck and gathered evidence. They are working to figure out what caused this fatal accident in Redding. Officers are still working to determine if drugs and alcohol were factors in this fatal accident.
