Santa Clara (August 28, 2024) Two big rigs collided head-on on Monday, August 26, leaving one driver deceased and the other with serious injuries.
The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. on Highway 25 south of Bolsa Road. A man, 70, was traveling northbound in a big rig when he crossed the double-yellow lines for unknown reasons. He crashed head-on into another big rig, the driver of which was 68.
Both vehicles came to rest on the west shoulder, and officers and paramedics were dispatched to the scene.
Paramedics took the 70-year-old driver who had been ejected from his vehicle to the hospital with major injuries. The 68-year-old was tragically pronounced dead.
