Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured In Oroville

Oroville, CA (September 4, 2024) The community of Oroville in Butte County was shocked as news spread of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. It all happened at the intersection of 18th Street and Grand Avenue, right around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2nd, 2024. The accident left the pedestrian with serious injuries, according to reports.

A sedan headed towards the intersection of 18th Street and Grand Avenue on Monday evening as a pedestrian walked in the same area. For reasons that are still unknown, the sedan struck the pedestrian at approximately 6:30 p.m. The force tossed the pedestrian several feet before they landed. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and waited for authorities to arrive.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground. They had sustained serious injuries in the accident and were rushed to a nearby hospital via ambulance to receive emergency treatment.

Officers questioned the driver of the sedan and investigated the scene following the accident. They are determined to piece together what happened at that Butte County intersection, as well as who was responsible for this accident.
