Victorville, CA (September 5, 2024) A T-bone collision occurred in Victorville, leaving one person with life-threatening injuries. The accident took place around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Smoke Tree Road and Amargosa Road on Tuesday morning, September 3rd. The injured victim had to be airlifted from the scene, according to reports.
A black Toyota Scion TC and a white Volkswagen Jetta suddenly collided in a Victorville intersection on Tuesday morning. Police reports from the scene indicated that one of the vehicles was T-boned by the other at the intersection. The two vehicles sustained major damage and blocked the intersection. The roadway was covered in glass and debris, reports also indicated.
The Victorville City Fire Department sent paramedics to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a woman trapped inside the Scion. Special tools were used to free the woman, who was then airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the Volkswagen, also a female, was taken to a hospital in the area by ambulance.
Officers with the Victorville Police Department are leading this investigation and are working to determine not only what caused this accident, but who was responsible. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove both damaged vehicles from the intersection before crews cleaned up the glass and debris left behind from the crash.
