Fresno, CA (September 9, 2024) A shocking accident in Fresno left two people with significant injuries on Thursday morning, September 5th, 2024. At approximately 7:00 a.m., a car crashed into a flatbed truck on Highway 180. It didn’t happen too far from Highway 99, officers reported.
Vehicles were moving along Highway 180 in Fresno at a decent pace, when traffic began to suddenly come to a stop. A Ford SUV was unable to stop and slammed into the side of a flatbed truck, officers reported. The impact ripped open the passenger side of the Ford, reports indicated. Immediately after, dispatch began receiving 911 calls about the accident.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the damaged SUV in the middle of the highway. The driver of the flatbed truck was injured and transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, officers reported.

Investigators began working the scene, gathering evidence and questioning not only those involved, but also those who witnessed the collision.
