Young Man, 19, Killed In Lake Shasta Jet Ski Crash

Shasta County, CA (September 10, 2024) A teenager was tragically killed in a jet ski collision at Lake Shasta on Saturday, September 7.

The incident occurred at about 2:44 p.m. as two young men, one 18 and one 19, were riding a jet ski together on the lake. Another jet ski rider suddenly slammed into them, leaving both with injuries.

Deputies and medics arrived at the scene and rushed both victims to the Bridge Bay Marina to receive medical attention. They were then taken to a local hospital, where the 19-year-old, who has been identified as Dominic Marshall Lencioni of Arroyo Grande, tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The Boating Safety Unit in Shasta County is investigating the incident.
