Santa Barbara County, CA (September 11, 2024) Two vehicles collided near Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County this morning. It happened at approximately 7:37 a.m. on Highway 1 at Santa Lucia Canyon Road. One person was left with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.
A blue Toyota sedan and a white Toyota Sienna were approaching each other as they headed towards the intersection of Highway 1 and Santa Lucia Canyon Road. At 7:37 a.m., the two vehicles collided, with one vehicle T-boning the other, officers reported. The two vehicles came to a stop at the intersection with major damage.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles surrounded by debris. Paramedics found one person with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports. At this time, it is unknown if the person was treated at the scene or taken to a hospital in the area.
