Cameron Miles, 32, Killed In Antelope Valley Collison

3 injured, 1 Critically, in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 154 in Santa Ynez Valley.

Antelope Valley, CA (September 12, 2024) Sadness fell over the community of Antelope Valley as news of a fatal car accident spread. 32-year-old Cameron Miles, from Hesperia, was killed in the two-vehicle collision. It happened at the intersection of Avenue O and 240th Street East, around 5:20 a.m. on Friday Morning, September 6th, according to reports.

It was early morning in Antelope Valley and the sun had yet to rise. A 2013 Chrysler headed north, headlights leading the way, on 240th Street. For reasons that are still unknown, the vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic, right into the path of a 2-11 Dodge Ram. The two vehicles collided, head-on, officers reported.

Emergency crews hurried to the scene and found the two vehicles in the middle of the roadway with major damage. They hurried to the vehicles, ready to give medical aid to anyone in need. They found 32-year-old Miles sitting in the driver’s seat of the Chrysler, unresponsive. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. The driver of the Dodge was injured in the collision and taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center to receive treatment.

Investigators continue to work in an effort to determine what caused this collision in Antelope Valley. The two vehicles had to be hauled from the scene by tow trucks and it took crews a while to clear the roadway of debris.
