It happened around 10:15 p.m. on Fremont Boulevard, not far from Military Avenue, according to reports. The Seaside Police Department reported that a vehicle was speeding down Del Monte Boulevard at nearly 100 miles per hour. The vehicle headed into an island near Fremont Boulevard and hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian was thrown several feet and killed during the impact, reports indicated. The vehicle then continued until it slammed into an elevated petition at a high rate of speed.
