Bridgeville, CA (October 14, 2024) Two people were injured in a collision resulting from an overturned logging truck on Highway 36 in Bridgeville. The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, October 12th, 2024, near mile marker 27.1.

It was just after 1:00 p.m. in Bridgeville when a 40-foot logging truck suddenly overturned on Highway 36. The accident sent logs rolling all over the highway, causing serious traffic hazards, according to reports. Officers reported that between the logs and the overturned truck, the highway was completely blocked. As motorists headed along the highway, they did not have time to avoid the logs and more accidents occurred.

Emergency crews made their way to the scene and found the highway blocked by the truck. Logs laid all over the roadway and other vehicles had crashed into the logs, reports indicated. Traffic was backing up as officers began diverting drivers away from the dangerous scene. Paramedics found two people with injuries, according to reports.
