Murrieta, CA (October 14, 2024) Jasmine Gomez of Hemet, 42, was tragically killed when her car was clipped on the I-215 in Murrieta.
CHP reports that Gomez was driving a Fiat around 65 mph when a motorist in a Dodge Ram tried to merge into the left lane. The Dodge was pulling a flatbed trailer that collided with Gomez’s Fiat on the passenger side. This caused the Fiat to veer left, and Gomez crashed into the concrete center divider. Her car overturned before it came to rest. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Paramedics extricated Gomez from her upside-down car and sadly pronounced her dead shortly afterward. The driver of the Dodge pickup truck was not hurt. Officers detained him for questioning, making no arrest but stating that “charges may be pending.”
