Northeast Las Vegas Motorcycle Collision Leaves Two Injured

Two Injured in collision between motorcycle and small SUV in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV (October 15, 2024) A collision between a motorcycle and a small SUV left two people injured on Monday evening, October 14th, 2024. The collision occurred in the northwest Las Vegas Valley around 7:00 p.m., at the intersection of Rancho Drive and Torrey Pines.

According to reports, a motorcycle was traveling along Rancho Drive at a high rate of speed. A small SUV was driving in front of it and, for reasons that remain unknown, the motorcycle slammed into the back of the SUV. The impact knocked the rider from the motorcycle and caused the SUV to stop in the middle of the roadway with major back-end damage.

Emergency personnel arrived and found the motorcyclist on the ground. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, via ambulance, to receive emergency treatment for undisclosed injuries. Officers found the driver of the small SUV with injuries, as well. He was also taken to a local hospital to receive treatment, following the collision. Both vehicles had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks and crews worked quickly to remove the debris that was left behind.

Officers are working to determine what exactly happened at that northeast Las Vegas intersection. They do believe that speed was a contributing factor in this accident.
