Early Morning Gilroy Crash On Hwy 25 Kills Two

2 killed in Gilroy collision on Highway 25.

Gilroy, CA (October 28, 2024) A two-vehicle collision on Highway 25 claimed two lives on Monday morning, October 28, 2024. The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m., not far from Bloomfield Avenue.

A new day had just begun as vehicles traveled along the dark street just after midnight. For reasons that remain unknown, two  vehicles suddenly collided on Highway 25. The accident destroyed the front, driver’s side of one vehicle and sent the second vehicle rolling. It came to a stop on its side, according to reports.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene with fire fighters and found the two vehicles, severely damaged, in the middle of the highway. Emergency personnel rushed to the vehicles, prepared to help anyone who had been injured in the collision. Sadly, they found both drivers deceased. They pronounced both victims dead at the scene, according to reports.

Following the initial investigation at the scene, officers requested tow trucks to remove both badly damaged vehicles from the highway. Crews worked for hours to clean up the debris that was left behind. Officers are still working this case in an effort to understand what exactly happened on that Highway.
