Bakersfield, CA (November 6, 2024) A tragic accident in Bakersfield claimed the life of 18-year-old Analisa Lopez Rivas on Halloween night. Rivas was on a skateboard when she was struck and killed by at least two vehicles, according to reports. The fatal accident took place on Westside Parkway, near Allen Road, around 6:40 p.m.
18-year-old Analisa Lopez Rivas was riding a skateboard along the shoulder of Westside Parkway on October 31st, 2024. At approximately 6:40 p.m., she was struck by a vehicle. The impact knocked her to the ground, causing her to land in the roadway. Tragically, she was then hit by at least one more vehicle, according to reports.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found Rivas on the ground with fatal injuries. Sadly, Analisa Lopez Rivas was pronounced dead on the shoulder of the highway in Bakersfield that evening.
Investigators worked the scene and took statements. They do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in this devastating accident, however the accident remains under investigation. Officers are determined to piece together what exactly happened to cause this fatal pedestrian accident.
