Bakersfield, CA (November 14, 2024) A devastating accident occurred in Bakersfield on November 13th, claiming the life of 13-year-old Jeremiah Villalobos. The boy was riding his bicycle when was struck by a vehicle in northeast Bakersfield. The accident took place mere minutes before 3:00 p.m., at the intersection of Loyola Street and Columbus Street.
Initial reports indicated that a vehicle was heading west on Columbus Street and hit Villalobos, who was riding south on Loyola Street, at the intersection. The impact through the boy from his bicycle, knocking him to the ground with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency personnel arrived and rushed Villalobos to Kern Medical to receive treatment for his injuries. The medical team did everything they could, but his injuries were too extensive and he succumbed to them. With heavy hearts, authorities pronounced Jeremiah Villalobos dead at the hospital.
