FRESNO, CA (AUGUST 22, 2023): 35-year-old Daniel Reason has been identified as the bicyclist fatally struck by a big rig on Monday in Fresno.
According to Fresno County authorities, Reason was riding a mountain bike traveling southbound along Cedar Avenue at around 12:40 p.m. when he was struck by a large trailer. Reports indicate that Reason rode his bicycle onto the road when he was struck. The incident occurred in front of 2558 S. Cedar Avenue, a Calwa Elementary School.

Paramedics responded to a 911 call stating that a bike was laying near the road. Unfortunately, Reason did not survive the collision.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause and fault of this collision.
