Rocklin, CA (October 4, 2024) The community of Rocklin was shocked to hear about a boy who was struck by a vehicle while riding an e-bike. The accident occurred just after 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Breen Drive and Stanford Ranch Road. Officers reported that the boy was riding to school and was a student at Granite Oaks Middle School within the Rocklin Unified School District.
The boy was riding an e-bike along Stanford Ranch Road on his way to Granite Oaks Middle School. As he rode, a vehicle approached and, for reasons that remain unknown, struck the boy. The impact knocked the boy off the e-bike and left him lying on the roadway, reports indicated. The driver immediately pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive at the scene.
The Rocklin Police Department arrived at the scene and found the boy on the ground with injuries. He was conscious and talking to officers as paramedics loaded him into an ambulance and took him to a local hospital for treatment. Reports indicated that the boy’s injuries were not life-threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.

Officers questioned the driver of the vehicle and gathered evidence at the scene. At this time, they do not believe alcohol or drugs played roles in this Rocklin accident. They are working to determine exactly what caused this accident on Stanford Ranch Road.
