SAN DIEGO, CA (June 29, 2022) – A 48-year-old woman has been seriously injured in a Pacific Beach accident in San Diego while she was riding her e-bike.

The woman was on a green Yamee e-bike when she collided with a 2020 Kia Optima at the intersection of Diamond Street and Ingraham Street according to PB Monthly.

Both the woman on the e-bike and the Kia entered the intersection around the same time, and the woman struck the Kia on the right front fender.

San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said the woman sustained seven fractured ribs amongst other injuries. While her injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening, Heims said.

Officer Heims reports that the Kia driver, who was the only one in the vehicle, was not injured and did not seem to be impaired by drugs or alcohol.
