ARROYO GRANDE, CA (May 13, 2022) – A 19-year-old male cyclist was killed on Los Berros Road near Arroyo Grande when Dylan Lammers, 41, failed to see the cyclist and hit him from the rear.
The accident occurred at 11:20 p.m., when visibility for cyclists is much lower, on Los Berros Road north of El Campo Road.
The California Highway Patrol reports that Lammers was headed southbound when he failed to see the cyclist on the road and ended up striking the rear of the bicycle.
Although Lammers left the scene of the accident, he did call authorities later to report it and was subsequently arrested at his home.
