James Zoltan Williamson killed in Rancho Cucamonga bicycle crash
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (October 10, 2022) – James Zoltan Williamson, 60, was tragically killed in a bicycle crash in Rancho Cucamonga after he was struck by a driver on Rochester Avenue and Victoria Park Lane.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, October 4, at around 5:44 p.m. where deputies responded to reports of a collision and found Williamson suffering from injuries. Although he was transported to a hospital, he unfortunately succumbed to the injuries he sustained.
The driver was identified as a 30-year-old man from Rancho Cucamonga who may have run a red light at a controlled intersection where Williamson was killed.
The driver reportedly stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities as emergency response arrived.
Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team is still investigating the crash, although witnesses or anyone with information regarding the crash are encouraged to call the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department at (909) 477-2800.
