RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (June 29, 2022) – Jessica Carrillo was arrested Saturday for suspicion of DUI when she struck and killed a cyclist in Rancho Cucamonga.
The accident occurred on June 25 around 6:50 p.m. near Archibald Avenue and the Pacific Electric Trail according to the Daily Bulletin. A call to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office reported an accident in which a vehicle ran a red light and struck a cyclist.
Jessica Carillo was driving a black Acura TSX while she was headed southbound on Archivald Avenue and ran a red light, crossing through the bike trail where she killed the cyclist.
Officers say that Carillo was under the influence of alcohol, with blood alcohol content over the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Carillo was arrested for suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter, DUI causing injury and DUI causing injury with a BAC of over 0.08 percent.
