A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near Highway 12 in Lodi.

San Luis Obispo, CA (August 13, 2024) A vehicle was finally identified this week after being involved in a late-July crash that injured two men riding electric bicycles. Saul Goldberg (87) and a 73-year-old friend were riding southbound on South Higuera Street when a driver sideswiped one bike and hit the second, sending both men falling to the ground.

Both were wearing helmets, but the 73-year-old sustained minor to moderate injuries. Goldberg was left in critical condition and rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on July 30.
