Las Vegas, NV (September 16, 2024) A woman from Venezuela was critically injured in a bicycle crash in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 15. It happened a little after 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilbur Street and Tropicana Avenue.
LVMPD reported that the 34-year-old was riding her bicycle southbound on Wilbur against traffic. She then crashed into a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas that was heading east on Tropicana.
Paramedics rushed the woman to Sunrise Hospital’s trauma unit, and she remains there in critical condition.
The motorist was arrested on DUI-related charges after displaying signs of impairment.
Update (9/18): The victim has been identified as Anny Mujica-Moreno. The latest reports state that she has tragically succumbed to her injuries.
