Westminster, CA (March 1, 2024) A woman tragically lost her life while riding an electric bicycle in Westminster on Thursday evening, February 29th. The fatal accident took place at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Brookhurst Street, right around 5:40 p.m, officers reported.
The woman, said to be in her 60’s, was hit by a vehicle while riding her electric bicycle through Westminster. The Westminster Police Department hurried to the scene and found the woman lying in the middle of the intersection, according to Sgt. Alan Aoki. The woman wasn’t moving and her bike several feet from her, smashed and destroyed. Orange County Fire Authority sent paramedics to the scene, but upon their arrival, they found the woman had already passed away. With heavy hearts, they pronounced her dead at the scene, according to reports.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities following this deadly collision. Officers aren’t certain what caused this tragic accident and a
