Mission Viejo, CA (November 7, 2023) At least 1 person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision that involved a school bus on Tuesday morning on I-5. Authorities said the crash happened just north of Crown Valley Parkway, shortly after 8:00 a.m.
The 4-vehicle collision occurred on southbound Interstate 5 in Mission Viejo, according to the California Highway Patrol. A silver Hyundai SUV, an orange Ford F-150 pickup truck, a silver Honda van and a school bus were all involved in the wreck.

Emergency crews arrived to find all 4 vehicles blocking lanes of the interstate. Paramedics responded and found one person with non-life-threatening injuries. At the time of this report, it was unknown if any of the children on the school bus were injured in the collision.
Officers called tow trucks to come to the scene and remove the Hyundai SUV and the orange pickup truck, both severely damaged, from the roadway. Debris littered the interstate and crews got to work cleaning the lanes.
