Redwood City, CA (April 15, 2024) A traumatic scene unfolded in Redwood City on Friday night when a SamTrans Bus ran over a pedestrian. The horrible accident took place at the Sequoia Caltrain Station at approximately 6:43 p.m. and left the pedestrian with serious injuries.
A pedestrian at the Sequoia Caltrain Station in Redwood City was running to try and catch a bus on Friday evening. As they ran, they suddenly tripped and fell into the path of a SamTrans bus. Before the pedestrian could get back on their feet, the bus began moving and ran over the pedestrian’s legs, according to reports.
The bus station was immediately closed for an extended period of time and 911 was called. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground with traumatic injuries to both of their legs. Paramedics rushed to prepare the pedestrian for transport in an ambulance. Emergency medical personnel carefully got the victim onto a gurney and placed them, carefully, inside the ambulance. They were then rushed to Standford Hospital to receive treatment.
Although witnesses at the scene confirmed that the pedestrian tripped into the path of the bus, officers continue to investigate this accident to determine what exactly caused the bus to run over the pedestrian’s legs.
