Whittier, CA (November 2, 2023) One person is dead following a 3-vehicle collision that occurred in Whittier on Wednesday night, November 1st. The California Highway Patrol said the collision took place shortly before 8:00 p.m. at Mulberry Drive and Mills Avenue in South Whittier.
Authorities and newscasters have referred to this collision as “grisly.” The accident involved three vehicles, but California Highway Patrol investigators are still unsure as to what led up to the collision.

Emergency crews and paramedics arrived at the scene to find a 27-year-old man deceased. An official with the Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced the man dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Authorities had to call in three tow trucks to load and remove the 3 badly damaged vehicles from the scene. SkyCal said the road was stained with some sort of liquid and glass and debris covered the ground. Cleanup crews began cleaning the area as fast as they could to have the road ready for use again.
Officers investigated the scene but the investigation is ongoing as they try to determine what led up to this accident. Officers did arrest 1 person at the scene, but it is currently unknown what charges are being filed against him.
