Los Angeles, CA (January 12, 2024) A man, said to be around 80 years old, lost his life in a 4-vehicle collision in Hancock Park on Thursday, January 11th. The Los Angeles Police Department said the accident occurred near McCadden Place and Beverly Boulevard around 3:43 p.m.

It is still unclear what exactly happened in Hancock Park, but video and images taken of the scene show the 4 vehicles, damaged, surrounded by emergency personnel. Authorities said they arrived to find an elderly man, estimated to be around 80 years old, unconscious and not breathing. A tan-colored SUV received extensive damage and, in the pictures, there is a white tarp on the ground, covering the victim. Sadly, he was killed in the accident and pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene, but reported that no one was taken to a hospital. At this time, no other injuries have been reported and authorities continue to investigate this fatal crash. Officers are determined to figure out what happened and who was at fault in this Hancock Park collision that claimed a man’s life.
