San Fernando, CA (August 17, 2023) 1 person was killed early this morning in a 2-vehicle collision involving a semi on the Foothill (210) Freeway in San Fernando. California Highway Patrol Officers responded to the call around 3:58 a.m.

Officer Sean Lough told City News Service that a vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-truck on the westbound freeway at the Hubbard Street Exit. The victim was either the driver or the passenger of the vehicle who slammed into the back of the big rig.
California Highway Patrol said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene from fatal injuries. They are still investigating this accident, as the cause is still unknown.
