Sacramento, CA (September 19, 2024) A two-vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday morning, September 18th, in Sacramento. The accident took place on Interstate 5 around 7:14 a.m., according to reports. One person sustained injuries in this collision near the westbound El Camino Avenue on-ramp.

Morning traffic was just starting to pick up in Sacramento as vehicles headed along Interstate 5 towards various destinations. It isn’t clear what exactly happened, but two vehicles suddenly collided in the southbound lanes of I-5. The damaged vehicles blocked traffic lanes and reports of debris causing road hazards were received as well.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the damaged cars. Some of the officers began diverting traffic away from the scene, while others checked the vehicles for people with injuries. One person was found with non-life-threatening injuries, reports indicated. However, it is unknown at this time if they were taken to a hospital or treated at the scene.
