Lake Elsinore, CA (August 30, 2023) At least one person was injured on Tuesday afternoon after a collision at State Route 74 and Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore. The California Highway Patrol received the call around 1:46 p.m.

California Highway Patrol, the Riverside Fire Department, and the Riverside Police Department all responded to the collision. Emergency personnel said they found one person with severe injuries upon arrival at the scene. Medics performed CPR on the victim before they were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The 2 vehicles involved in the crash blocked eastbound lanes of State Route 74, according to the California Highway Patrol. The cause of the crash is unknown. Authorities are investigating this collision.
