Initial reports indicated that a white Honda Accord sedan and a white Ford F-350 pickup truck collided for reasons unknown. It happened in the westbound lanes of State Route 91 in Orange County. Officers reported that all of the Honda’s airbags were deployed during the impact and both vehicles sustained serious damage.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles in the middle of the highway with a field of debris around them. Officers hurried to the two vehicles in search of anyone in need of medical attention. They found one person with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports. Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into this accident. They gathered evidence at the scene and took statements from not only those involved, but also from witnesses. Following the investigation, the scene was cleaned up as quickly as possible, reports indicated.
