Reno, NV (October 25, 2024) A person was tragically killed in a crash in Reno on Thursday, October 24. It happened around 11:30 a.m. on southbound I-580.
It’s unclear why the crash occurred, but a single car collided with a guardrail at North Carson Street, killing the victim. It’s unknown if other people were in that vehicle. Two more cars were hit by debris as a result of the initial crash.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Two lanes were closed between Eastlake and North Carson Street. An investigation is ongoing.
