Dispatch began receiving calls about the accident, as the vehicles were left blocking lanes of traffic in the area, according to reports.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles with serious damage. Three people were found injured, officers reported. One person had sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. The other two were also taken to a hospital, but reports indicated that they suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
