LONG BEACH, CA (NOVEMBER 25, 2023): Three people were injured following crash resulting from a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Long Beach.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, the crash occurred on Friday, November 24th at Long Beach and Artesia boulevards near the Compton-Long Beach border as authorities were notified of a stolen Dodge Charger from the Compton Police Station. They identified the vehicle and attempted to make a stop. The suspect failed to stop, fleeing police and initiating a chase for about two minutes in the Long Beach area.

The suspect then crashed into a civilian white pickup truck, leaving both vehicles with heavy damage. The innocent driver of the truck sustained serious injuries, and was rushed to the hospital by responding paramedics. The driver was reported to be in the intensive care unit.
Paramedics also transported the driver of the stolen Dodge and a female passenger to the hospital, and both were reported to be in stable condition.
The stolen car was recovered by authorities at the hospital.
Further identifying information about the suspect and the injured was not made immediately available. It is unclear if and which charges the suspect will face following this incident. Long Beach officials will continue to investigate this unfortunate pursuit crash.
