San Bernardino, CA (September 16, 2024) In a tragic collision on the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino, three people lost their lives on Saturday, September 14.
California Highway Patrol responded to the scene south of University Parkway at about 11:26 p.m. Reports state that a driver in a Toyota Corolla was heading northbound at an unknown speed as a Freightliner truck was stopped on the right shoulder.
For unknown reasons, the Toyota veered over and rear-ended the truck. The impact pushed the Toyota into traffic, and it hit an Acura. The now-disabled Toyota came to rest in the middle of the lanes, and a Ram pickup truck slammed into it.
Paramedics arrived and tragically declared three females in the Toyota dead. One was the driver and two were passengers. The drivers of the other vehicles involved sustained minor injuries.
