Valley Glen, CA (July 25, 2023) A child and 5 adults were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Monday evening. What started as a car robbery, turned into a police chase that ended in a collision involving at least 5 vehicles.
Los Angeles Police Department said a Lincoln, was stolen on Oxnard Street. The owner of the vehicle realized his car had been stolen and immediately called the police. The police department responded and ended up engaged in a car chase. The pursuit began in Valley Glen at the 14400 block of Oxnard Street.

Another call came through around 7:06 p.m. informing authorities of a collision on Vanowen and Bellaire Avenue, 3 miles from where the vehicle was stolen.
5 adults and 1 child were taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for injuries sustained during the collision. No one was said to be in critical condition. The driver of the stolen Lincoln, as well as the passenger, were taken to the hospital for injuries, but will be taken into custody once they receive medical clearance.
