Anza, CA (July 26, 2024) A frightening head-on collision took place this afternoon in Anza, a community in southwestern Riverside County.
The crash occurred on Highway 74 where the road meets Wilderswil Drive around 4:10 p.m.
As of 4:32 p.m., firefighters were trying to extricate one of the victims from their vehicle. This person sustained major injuries and was airlifted to a Coachella Valley hospital in a Reach Air helicopter.
Reports stated that the other driver was injured, though the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
It’s unclear at this time how or why the collision occurred. An investigation is ongoing.
