SACRAMENTO, CA (AUGUST 20, 2023): A bicyclist was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man on a bicycle was hit by a vehicle at approximately 1:36 p.m. on Fruitridge Road. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear.

The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His identity and condition remains unknown as of yet.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of this collision.
