7 injured when car crashes into coffee shop in Tarzana

Tarzana, CA (October 11, 2024) Seven people sustained injuries on Thursday afternoon, October 10, 2024, when a vehicle crashed into a coffee shop. The chaotic collision occurred in a two-story strip mall on W Ventura Boulevard in Tanzana, just before 4:00 p.m.

The strip mall at 18663 W Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana was the scene of an injury accident on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. At approximately 3:55 p.m., a vehicle driven by a woman in her 60s, lost control and slammed into a coffee shop inside the strip mall. Dispatch began receiving 911 calls about the accident just before 4:00 p.m.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and found seven people with non-life-threatening injuries in the parking lot of the strip mall, near the coffee shop. The coffee shop had sustained serious damage in the accident and the vehicle remained partially inside the strip mall, reports indicated. Officers are working to determine what exactly happened to cause the driver to lose control and crash into the coffee shop. The accident remains under investigation.
