Nipomo, CA (August 28, 2024) The town of Nipomo received a bit of excitement on Wednesday morning, August 28th, in the form of a car crash. Reports indicated that the crash involved two or three vehicles and left one person with injuries. It all happened on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo County, at the Willow Road off-ramp, right around 8:30 a.m.
The morning commute continued as the clock neared 8:30 a.m. Vehicles headed along Highway 101 in Nipomo, when a collision between two or three vehicles occurred, for reasons unknown. The vehicles blocked the highway, causing traffic issues, according to reports.
First responders arrived and found the damaged vehicles sitting in the middle of the highway. Paramedics quickly checked the vehicles, ready to give medical care to anyone who had been injured. They found one person with injuries, according to reports. The victim was taken by ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center to be treated for unknown injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators began working the scene and are determined to piece together what caused this accident on Highway 101 in Nipomo. They are also working to uncover who was responsible for this accident. Following the initial investigation at the scene, officers requested two tow trucks to come and remove at least two of the damaged vehicles from the highway. Crews then cleaned up the debris that had littered the roadway.
